IMAMURA reflects the present image of women in relation to the image of women displayed in classical European art. Meanwhile, FRECHEN focusses upon portrayals of women in Japanese pop culture, especially regarding fashion, lifestyle and videogames. In his works he combines the tradition of European oil painting with the Japanese painting “Nihonga”.
