The JDZB library offers a wide selection of Japan-related information to visitors. The library is a quiet, well-lit place that is wheelchair-accessible.

NEW: Research online
You can view our library catalog and see our collection even before visiting the library (the current catalog version is a beta model in the test phase).

Another excellent tool for literature research on and about Japan is the NACSIS Webcat, the largest Japanese central catalog which also shows the collections of all joining libraries, and lists those libraries where your desired medium is available.

We are also a lending library; to become a member you will need to present your identification card or passport to register the first time you use the library.
There is no fee to register as a member or to borrow books.

Opening Hours:

Monday and Thursday
10 am–4 pm
Wednesday 12 noon–6 pm

The library is closed during the institute’s holidays (over the summer break and at Christmas, exact dates will be announced in the website).
