| German-Japanese Highschool Student Exchange (“TAKENOKO Fund”) |
| Many German and Japanese schools have partnerships with schools in the other country. Yet student exchanges often fail due to a lack of funding because travel costs are particularly high. The “TAKENOKO Fund for German-Japanese Student Exchange” seeks to support these already existing initiatives. “Takenoko” is the Japanese term for young bamboo shoots; thus the fund seeks to help students in the program to quickly form a dense and solid network, similar to young bamboo shoots. |
