Venue: JDZB

Finissage: June 28, 2012, at 7 pm!
On display until June 29, 2012, noon

Exhibition: Two Worlds - KATÔ Atsuko (oil and graphics) and KATÔ Kunihiko (stone and wooden sculptures)
The title of the exhibition “Two Worlds” stands for both the connection as well as the contrasts between western and eastern culture. The connecting element of the artists’ works is their relationship with nature, and nature as a source of inspiration.
After 13 years KATÔ Atsuko is presenting a selection of her works encompassing graphics, oil paintings and collages. She is showing these works in a joint exhibition with her husband, the sculptor KATÔ Kunihiko, who sculpts “creatures” out of stone and wood.
Both artists originate from Japan but have lived for more than 35 years in Germany, which has now become their second home.
