Japan is still struggling with the consequences of the events of 11 March 2011. Periodically the subject is taken up by the German and international press in large or small ways.
The human and economic costs of this threefold disaster, the consequences for energy policy and how politics attempts to incorporate the events in its larger political narratives, is the focus of the work of Professor Prof. Richard SAMUELS, Ford International Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for International Studies am Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He will give a presentation in English on the results of his study:
3.11: Disaster and Change in Japan
on Monday, 14 October 2013, at 6 pm at the JDZB
This will be followed by a small round of refreshments where participants will be given the opportunity to talk with Prof. Samuels individually.
Please register with the JDZB until 10 October 2013!
