From 9.30 am through 6 pm at the JDZB
German and Japanese companies continue to expand internationally, especially in Asia. Their focus is shifting, however, from China towards the greater Asian market and Southeast Asia in particular. The ASEAN group is currently transforming Southeast Asia’s disperse production hubs into a major market with strong and stable demand.
But major country risks in Asia certainly remain: difficult government and labor relations, increasing production costs, frequent natural disasters, and diverse consumer trends will have to be dealt with in the future, too. Companies as much as governments are therefore still hesitating to build closer relations with the region, and think about new Asia strategies that evaluate risks as well as opportunities more objectively.
At this conference, we will outline the structural changes occurring in integrating Asian markets and show the opportunities from “megatrends” such as the development of new hubs in “mega cities” with vastly growing consumer and investment demand. Industry experts and corporate executives from Germany, Japan, China, and ASEAN countries will provide their analyses and concrete ideas about regional strategies to further unlock opportunities in Southeast Asia.
Conference language is English.
