We would like to introduce a new series of events: Salon Chats with Japanese and German artists residing in or visiting Berlin.
After performing, most artists lack the time and opportunity to meet with their audience. And occasionally language barriers are so great they hinder artists opening up to a German audience. With these Chat Salons, we would like to create a platform for artists and their audience to allow both sides to come together and chat beyond the performance arena.
We are commencing this new series of events with the Japanese conductor, SADO Yutaka, now widely known across Germany as well. After leading the Berlin’s Concert House Orchestra in 2010 he debuted in May 2011 with the Berlin Philharmonic. In autumn 2011 he gave a guest performance at the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, he then returned to tour Japan to give a series of highly celebrated sold-out performances.
As German counterpart we invited Andreas MORITZ, Head of Orchestra Management of Komische Oper Berlin.
The discussions of the salon will be simultaneously translated into German and Japanese.
