The energy transition is the great challenge of our time. But there is still a great need for action, especially regarding international cooperation, which is indispensable for the success of the transition itself. With the German-Japanese Energy Transition Council (GJETC), the two high-tech countries Japan and Germany have launched a cooperation project in the spring of 2016 that is unique in terms of continuity and form.
At a press conference at the second meeting in Berlin, the two chairmen of the GJETC, Prof. Dr. Peter Hennicke and Prof. Masakazu Toyoda, will discuss the importance of decentralized energy supply in Germany and Japan. A further topic will be the opportunities and potentials of a German-Japanese cooperation concerning the energy transition.
Afterwards there will be the chance to talk to German and Japanese participants of the stakeholder dialog.
During the press conference, there will be a simultaneous interpretation German-Japanese/Japanese-German.
